Our lighting company had the honour of contributing to the ambiance of the Telangana Martyrs Memorial, also known as Telangana Amara Jyothi or Amaraveerula Stupam, situated on the banks of Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad. This poignant monument stands as a tribute to the 369 students who lost their lives during the 1969 agitation for a separate Telangana state. For this project, our focus was on delicately lighting the ‘diya’ or lamp element of the memorial, bathed in a warm yellow glow during the night. The use of lights exclusively above the ‘jyothi’ (flame) of the diya accentuates its luminosity, creating a stunning visual impact.

This careful illumination not only adds to the beauty of the memorial but also symbolizes the hope that the Telangana Martyrs Memorial represents. The Telangana Martyrs Memorial is a significant landmark, shaped like a ‘diya with light,’ and our lighting solutions play a crucial role in bringing out the emotive and symbolic essence of this grand stainless-steel memorial. As the evening descends, the subtle radiance of the illuminated ‘jyothi’ stands as a testament to the resilience and spirit of those commemorated in this monumental tribute.
